Mad Anthonys Announces Fall 2023 Grant Recipients
[Fort Wayne, November 28, 2023] — The Mad Anthonys Foundation is thrilled to announce the recipients of its Fall 2023 granting program, recognizing six outstanding projects aimed at making a difference in our community!
After a thorough selection process, the Foundation identified organizations demonstrating exceptional commitment and creativity. These initiatives aim to create positive change in Northeast Indiana and beyond.
The Mad Anthonys Foundation Grantee Awardment for October 1, 2023, celebrates the following recipients:
1. World Baseball Academy: On Deck Initiative; $7,500 Description: Using baseball as their point of contact to develop character & leadership beyond the game.
2. Anthony Wayne Area Council, Boy Scouts of America: Scoutreach – Scouting Program for Underserved Youth; $5,000Description: Providing outdoor outreach and scouting values to underserved youth.
3. Camp Red Cedar: Inclusive Summer Camps and Recreational Services; $5,000Description: Offering inclusive summer camps and recreational services aimed at encouraging children & adults with disabilities to move beyond their boundaries through recreational activities, outdoor education, creative arts and interaction with horses, in an integrated environment, serving people of all abilities.
4. YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne: YMCA Camp Potawatmi; $5,000 Description: Fostering leadership and belonging for the June-July 2024 summer camp
5. Boomerang Backpacks: School Year Weekend Feeding Programs; $2,500 Description: Ensuring food security for children with weekend nourishment for students.
6. Hope’s Harbor: Hope’s Harbor; $50,000 Description: Supporting families of children in medical care with critical hospitality support services.
These deserving grantees will receive financial support to further their initiatives. They’ll also join a network of past and present grantees, fostering collaboration in our community! Learn more about these and our past grant recipients here!

Emphasis will be on initiatives strengthening community youth development.
